About The Prints

These glicee prints are made to the highest standards on 100% cotton rag acid free paper with a matte finish, using pigment based inks for a long life. The images are big, they can be printed over three feet wide while still showing incredible detail, the closer you look the more you can see (for the technically minded, each picture has up to 30 mega pixels or 1/2 Gb of information.) Like any artwork, the prints should be framed under glass or acrylic and should not be hung in direct sunlight. If handling unframed prints, note that the paper used has a delicate clay coating, making the printed surface sensitive to abrasion and excessive flexing. Prints should not be rolled into a tube less than 8cm diameter.

About The Artist

      "After living abroad for several years, I've returned to live in South Cumbria, seeing our unique British landscape with fresh eyes. I love to get out exploring whenever I can, and I'm compelled to capture what I see with my camera. Once home I spend many hours perfecting the photos in the digital darkroom so that the best possible prints can be made. I prefer the panoramic format for landscape work, the wide 1:3 shape allows the viewer to sweep their gaze across the picture, just as one does when taking in the real view." Mark James.

Sizes

There are three sizes for the panoramic pictures: Gallery (33" wide), Studio (22"), and Cameo (11"), which are coded G,S, and C. The pictures come in these standard widths, but image height varies a little from picture to picture. A pair of cameo size pictures can be mounted together to fit a standard 11 x 14" frame. Some pictures are available with image size over 4 feet by special order.
